Proverbs 7:4 says, “Say to wisdom, you are my sister, and call insight your intimate friend.” When I read these words this past week it struck me how powerful they are. Each and every day our students have to make countless decisions. The idea of having wisdom as close to you as a sibling is a comforting thought. When we talk about wisdom we know that it is different from the knowledge that is being acquired every day; it is the application of that knowledge to situations that arise. Knowledge is easy to acquire, wisdom can sometimes be a slower and more difficult process.

What can give us comfort everyday as we make decisions is the knowledge that the Holy Spirit is living inside of us. God provides us with His Spirit to help us make the difficult decisions. We can be led by Him in our wisdom and insight. I don’t know what decisions you will be faced with this week, but I pray that the Holy Spirit will help you to use God’s wisdom to follow in the path He wants you to take.
