August 16, 2016

Here we go! Wow, the summer went by really quick, at least it did for me. Now we are back in school and rolling for another year. But this year is just a little different. As many of you know that on August 7th we officially opened up our new academic building. It was an amazing day with the building dedication and the ribbon cutting celebration. We feel so blessed to already have students actively learning in the new classrooms. Later this week we will all head off to camp which will be a great time of coming together as a school, running around having fun, and most importantly praising God together.

Our theme for this year is Building Up. It comes from 1Thessalonians 5:11 which says, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." We want to place a special emphasis this year on building each other up. We want flourish with encouragement in the classroom, on the athletic field, in the theater, on the music stage and everywhere else we are present. We are excited to see what a constant encouragement can mean for our school. Please join me in encouraging everyone within the Valley community, students, teachers, parents and families. Also we want to encourage everyone we come in contact within the community. We have seen how Valley Lutheran has made a difference for the past 35 years. We are excited to see the new ways God will use us this year as we are Building Up.
