It is always interesting to see what a combination of excitement and fatigue can do to a high school campus. I think Valley has been feeling a little of this combination this week. We are just coming off an exciting winter sports season and a huge church conference many students worked at. Then coming up we have the musical this weekend, the end of the quarter, spring sports starting and interim next week. The students and teachers are going a hundred different directions at once all while trying to stay focused on school. If you throw in the things everyday life can bring you it may seem a little overwhelming.
This makes it the perfect time to be at Valley. Just when you think you are overwhelmed you are constantly reminded that we have a God who walks with us every step of the way. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 tells us, “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all of our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” God comforts us when we have too much going on and things are hard. He also equips us to comfort others who may go through the same thing we go through.
