Many of you know that I am originally from Chicago. If you have been paying attention to the weather this past week it may give you an indication of one of the ways I feel very blessed to be in Arizona! I really don’t miss the days when the high temperatures were in the single digits and the lows headed below zero. I have had people ask me what you do in that kind of weather. It really isn’t too much different than 120 degrees in Phoenix. You only go outside when you have to.

At times in our lives we all face situations that are uncomfortable. It may be dealing with sub-arctic temperatures, or talking with someone you really don’t care for. Sometimes we are tasked with jobs that force us to do things we would rather not have to do. The question for all of us in these situations is how are we going to react? 1 Corinthians 13:1 says, “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.” Do we react in situations that make us uncomfortable by allowing the love of Christ to shine through us? This is not always an easy thing to do, but it is during these times our testimony is most effective. I pray that all of us can show this type of love to the people around us even in times when we are uncomfortable.
